Diane Shackelford started her musical education at the age of 7. She studied under private teachers until the age of 17. She competed, on several occasions, in the State of Illinois music contest, where she was named in the top ten as well as winning numerous awards. In 1985 she was hired by the Lowrey Organ Company in Chicago and taught group organ lessons. She continued teaching privately on organ, piano and keyboard along with group music lessons. Diane has worked with Lowrey, Roland, Technics, Kawai, and Gulbransen products. Born and raised in Chicago, IL. she relocated to south Florida 16 years ago. Diane has been with Festival Music Centers for the past 6 years.

Mark Tison

                Mark Tison began playing the piano by ear at the age of 5 and made his musical debut at a county fair at age 7 in Bradenton, Florida. At the age of 9 Mark began playing the organ. He was student conductor and orchestra arranger in high school and studied composition in college. Mark spent the years between college and 1983 as a popular Organ Demonstrator and Educational Director for a major musical instrument retailer in the southeast and eventually joined the sales team. Mark then took a leave of absence from his business career to tour in Europe entertaining members of the armed forces. After returning from overseas, he rejoined the retail business community and has been in sales and management ever since. Mark’s mastery of the Lowrey organ and his spectacular performances are sure to be a memorable musical event.


Doug Thiel


Doug has been involved with  the music business for the past 35 years. Much of his time has been spent teaching adults to play, managing music stores, and playing keyboards in Blues Bands. Doug  has a passion for teaching adults piano and organ and sharing the joys of making your own music. Doug has taught thousands to play and sound great. His  workshops include "Tips and Tricks of the Pro's and a fun class called " The Class for the Musically Hopeless", to name a few.

His teaching style includes sharing great ideas used by professionals so his students " sound better" and get the most from their musical abilities. His relaxed and humorous approach to teaching makes for a fun EZ way for students of any age to learn.
