Distinguished career guitarist and music educator, Professor Carey has performed with a veritable "who's who" in the music world, including a recent performance for Donald Trump.

Charles has also written a successful teaching program called "Bridging the Gap"  which he currently includes in his music curiculum.

Diane Shackelford


Diane Shackelford started her musical education at the age of 7. She studied under private teachers until the age of 17. She competed, on several occasions, in the State of Illinois music contest, where she was named in the top ten as well as winning numerous awards.

In 1985 she was hired by the Lowrey Organ Company in Chicago and taught group organ lessons. She continued teaching privately on organ, piano and keyboard along with group music lessons.

Diane has worked with Lowrey, Roland, Technic, Kawai, and Gulbransen products.

Born and raised in Chicago, Il. she is a transplant to south Florida.

Diane has been with Festival Music Centers for the past 5 years.


Larry Lyon



Larry graduated from Oklahoma University in 1961 with a bachelor of music education for instrumental and voice.
 
He was then commissioned in the air force the some year and returned a Lt. Colonel in 1989.
 
During his 28 years, he entertained countless groups form Germany to Thailand.
 
As Protestant choir director in Germany and asst. Air Force band director, he conducted Finnigans Rainbow and the Messiah.
 
He joined the Lake Worth HS Faculty in 1991, returning in 2003 after teaching air force junior ROTC.
 
He now teaches piano, organ and keyboard for Festival Music with focus on technique, chords, ear training and the ability to read music.
